Dr. Vasanth Sarathy, Ph.D., J.D., is a researcher in Artificial Intelligence whose work focuses on building language- and vision-based AI systems that assist humans with complex reasoning, creativity, and decision-making. He has led cutting-edge projects for DARPA and the U.S. Department of Defense, and his research has been recognized nationally, including as the Grand Prize Winner of the NSF 2026 Idea Machine.
Dr. Sarathy holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from Tufts University, an M.S. in EECS from MIT, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. A licensed attorney in Massachusetts, he practiced intellectual property law for nearly a decade at Ropes & Gray before transitioning full-time into AI research.
